The Regional Dance Centre of Ostrobothnia

The Regional Dance Centre of Ostrobothnia is the only bilingual dance centre in Finland. The Dance Centre arranges performances, events, workshops for children, young people and seniors. The centre functions as an expert in dance in the Ostrobothnian, Southern Ostrobothnian and Central Ostrobothnian regions.  Its mission is:

 

  • to enable dance professionals to practice their profession and support the free expression of art
  • to increase the equal availability and accessibility to dance art regardless of place of residence or socioeconomic status
  • to foster a better understanding of dance art and to increase knowledge of the possibilities that dance offers
  • to improve the status of dance art in the fields of art and culture and as a source of well-being 

 

The Regional Dance Centre of Ostrobothnia is a member of the national network of regional dance centres.
