Regional dance centre of Ostrobothnia

The Regional Dance Centre of Ostrobothnia is a bilingual dance centre and part of the Finnish network of regional dance centres. This year, the Regional Dance Centre of Ostrobothnia celebrates its 15th anniversary.

The centre organizes performances and events, the Ostrobothnia Dances festival, as well as culture and wellbeing projects for all target groups. It serves as a regional expert in dance in the regions of Ostrobothnia, South Ostrobothnia, and Central Ostrobothnia. Our tasks include

  • enabling dance professionals to work and supporting artistic freedom
  • promoting equal access to and availability of dance art regardless of place of residence or financial means
  • engaging in dance art education and increasing awareness of the possibilities of dance art
  • strengthening the position of dance as a form of art, culture, and wellbeing.
